The first Dirty Dozen on 2023 as the end and the start of the year is
always a lean time for new releases. So far this year we haven't been
selecting weekly ones as there simply hasn't been enough outstanding new
music to make up a dozen each week. Therefore, here's our selection of what
we consider the best twelve releases for Jan 2023.

Wk 02 was a close run thing between Ledisi and Billy Valentine but Ledisi
prevailed simply because Valentine's single is a cover version.
