Bay Area voice coach, songwriter and producer Carmen Jones released her sophomore album "Naked" on 19 Jan '23 which follows "My Diary" from 2004. She also released a self-titled four track EP in 2008.
The album she states "was made to listen to in track order from beginning to end to gain a better understanding as the songs are inspired by true experiences in my life and were created to help my healing".
Only four singles are currently available on digital platforms. Her first single from 2016 is a steppers version of Aretha's "Angel" and another from 2021 is Michael Jacksons' "Rock With You" and her latest from May 2021 is Teena Marie's "Love Me Down Easy" ("Emerald City" 1986) which also features on the album. This should come as no surprise when you learn that Carmen has been performing Teena Marie tribute shows, "Carmen Sings Teena", for many years, in fact included below is a YouTube clip form 2011 singing "Fire And Desire" with Brian Leads, who also features on one of the songs on her new album.
Carmen has shared the stage with Howard Hewett, Jackson Browne, Al B.Sure, El Debarge, and more.
