Brooklyn's Joanna Teters attended Berklee College of
Music where she began to develop her craft as a bandleader,
songwriter, and front woman for Mad Satta, Drew ofthe Drew, and
SunDub.
She released her debut album "Warmer When It Rains" in Jan 2018 with bassist/producer CARRTOONS (Ben Carr) and followed it with a
single "Day One" and then a hip-hop/soul influenced five track EP "Back To Brooklyn" in Jun 2018. She released her sixth single since then on 1 Nov 2022
"Puma (I Want You)" which has an authentic retro 60s feel.
She featured here with her last but one single "Fine Line" with Fuji Floyd in Feb 2021. In Dec 2020, with her band SunDub, she recorded a reggae
version of Chaka Khan's dance classic "Ain't Nobody" and I came
across a video of her on lead with Mad Satta doing a very good cover of Cutis Mayfield's "The Makings Of You" included below.
