In Feb this year Robert Glasper released "Black Radio III" and, like PJ Morton has also done today, he's released an updated
edition today subtitled Supreme Edition.
It is essentially the original album's thirteen tracks with another nine
new tracks. Why it's not simply a new album titled Black Radio IV (or
something else) I've no idea but I guess it's a way of remarketing/reselling
previous material.
As with the first edition it features a host of guest artists from
established artists such as PJ Morton, India.Arie, Bilal and Alex Isley to
BJ Chicago Kid, Emily King, Estelle, Mac Miller and Luke James.
The clear standouts from the new songs is "My Queen" feat. Luke James and "Hi" feat. India.Arie along
with an Isley Brothers cover "Voyage To Atlantis" ("Go For Your Guns" (1977)) featuring Ernie Isley's daughter Alex and
Bilal.
