Following the pair of Jai Alai releases at the back end of August from
Pete Belasco
and
Willie Walker, Soul4Reall have another pair out on the main imprint.
Both releases are 60s recordings not previously available on
vinyl.
The first is a pair of unreleased songs by Barbara Lynn recorded in
Memphis in 1968. She recorded six songs in the summer of 1968 produced by
Spooner Oldham spread over a couple of sessions which were shelved.
The two songs chosen for this vinyl release are "Unloved, Unwanted Me" and "Soul Deep". "Unloved, Unwanted Me" first featured on a Kent compilation "The Girls Got Soul" in 2000 and both appeared on a 25 track Barbara Lynn
compilation "The Complete Atlantic Recordings" in 2014 which was released digitally as "The Atlantic Collection" in 2018.
