Sharon Rae North [2022] - Silhouette [Self Released] (Full Album)

The latest album "Silhouette" by Sharon Rae North has been a long time in the making for this Billboard charting artist. With Chris 'Big Dog' Davis she recorded and dropped the single "Moments", featuring jazz saxophonist Marion Meadows, in 2019 with the full intention of finishing the EP by 2020. But then COVID hit and the world stopped and the project didn't start up again until early 2021. She did some writing, 'virtual' recording sessions, and was preparing for another EP. Then, in stepped Paul Brown who convinced her to do a 10-song album and put his stamp on two tunes.

Another two tracks have subsequently been released as singles, "We Should Be In Love (Silhouette)" (31 Dec 2021) and the current single "Heart Of Mine" (29 Jul 2022).

The album has only available on (signed) CD direct from the Sharon Rae North Website but was posted from promo earlier this week and is now available digitally on DSPs today (12 Aug 2022). It includes a cover of Brenda Russell's 1988 classic "Piano In The Dark" taken from her "Get Here" album, the title track later covered by Oleta Adams in 1990 who had a bigger hit with it.

Sharon is an independent smooth jazz artist originally from Youngstown, OH, but now residing in Northern Virginia. Her latest album will be her third since her first "The Way You Make Feel" from 2007, followed by "Gee Baby" in 2012. She also has a five track EP "Sincerely Yours" (2016) along with the three singles above.
