Gospel singer Larry Watson wrote "You Got It Girl" for his wife and once people heard it they suggested that he should
release it. He's inspired by 60s music and this song in particular has
strong Sam Cooke influences.
It appears to be only his second secular release following "Smile" in 2020. He released the song initially on 12 Aug with an extended
version added on 22 Aug 2022.
