The Harlem Gospel Travelers release their first full-length album as a
trio, "Look Up!" on 16 Sep 2022 on limited edition vinyl, CD and digital via
Colemine Records. Produced by Eli Paperboy Reed, it is also their first
collection of totally original material.
The music draws on the gospel quartet tradition of the '50s and '60s but
with a modern edge and reflects of the tumultuous past few years of pandemic
anxiety, political chaos, and social unrest.
The Harlem Gospel Travelers (Ifedayo Gatling, George Marage and Dennis
Bailey) released their debut LP, "He's On Time", to rave reviews in
2019.
The title track "Look Up!" was released as a single on 14 June followed by "Hold Your Head Up" on 17
Jul.
Last week (16 Aug) they recorded a 75 minute live session from Relix Studio,
included below, which includes many of the forthcoming album
tracks.
