VA [2022] - Dome 30 Years, Vol. 1 [Dome] (Full Album)

It is the 30th anniversary of UK's Dome Records, set up by Peter Robinson in 1992, this year. To celebrate the event they have today released a 25 track compilation of tracks that have appeared on the label in it's lifetime "Dome 30 Years, Vol. 1". You may wonder, like I did, why not 30 to celebrate 30, but they are releasing a Volume 2 in June.

Volume one includes the earlier hits with a few recent releases from Jarrod Lawson "Footsteps In The Dark", Dennis Taylor "In The Mood" and one released today as a single, posted from Traxsource last week, by Incognito featuring Bluey with a cover of Idris Muhammad's dance classic "Could Heaven Ever Be Like This".

I'm sure you're familiar with most, if not all, of the tracks, but a few highlights include Rosie Gaines "Honeychild", Lasperanza Feat. Izzy Chase "It Should Have Been You", Bobby Womack collaborating with Lulu on Al Johnsons "Back From More", Donnie "If I Were You", Drizabone "Real Love" and a modern soul spin from Richard Darbyshire "This I Swear" There are also several well know cover versions.
