Temica Key (aka Temica Moore) released her debut album "I Am Temica Key" on 30 Oct 2021 to coincide with her 40th birthday. She is a member of
The Unit Band (aka the Unit Experience) who's album "Not For Long" was released in March 2021.
The only other solo release I can find from her is "Love Staycation" in 2017.
The seven tracks on the album, to me, sound a bit dated, so I wonder if
they are songs she's had in the can for a while? The best track is
undoubtedly her cover of Bobby Caldwell's "What You Won't Do For Love",
re-titled as "Do For Luv" which was also covered in June by Soultry who had a top 3 UK soul chart
hit with it titled "Due For Love".
Many, including me, forget that Phyllis Hyman also covered it on her 1986 "Living All Alone" album (included below) and it was also released as a single on the flip to the album title track.
