Nicole Henry is a jazz singer from Miami Beach who debuted
with a award winning album "The Nearness Of You" in 2004.
She released her eighth album "Time To Love Again" on 15 Oct 2021 which consists of all covers including, in track
order, Nina Simone, Maria Muldaur, James Taylor, Rodgers & Hart
standard, Sade, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Nina Simone (again but Johnny Mathis
did it first two years prior in 1957), Joan Armatrading and Stevie Wonder.
Not ground-breaking, but smooth jazz easy listening. I think our man Roger
'Soulsorts' Williams and I are agreed on the standout track, "Feeling Good", as he featured it in the latest episode of
Soulsorts. Henry's version has been given more of a Latin rhythm.
Her voice is terrific and I'd love to hear it on some original material
as it was 2015 when she released her last album.
