Original Gravity. As you have probably already guessed from the
artist name it's an interesting Latin/boogaloo take on it.
It's available to download now from
BandCamp
and will be issued on limited edition (300) 7" vinyl which will be
shipped 22 Feb 2022.
There must be dozens of covers of this song, Roosevelt Matthews with
Bobby Ball & The Upsetters, Maceo Parker, Wally Jump Jr & The
Criminal Element and a more recent one by The Bamboos are some of the
better ones that spring to mind.
Whilst digging around I came across the video below which I believe is
just a jam session by Bernard Purdie; Chuck Rainey; David T. Walker;
Sonny Phillips; Bill Bivens; Virgil Jones; Pancho Morales, Mr. Alligator
Boogaloo and Lou Donaldson recorded at 'Supposed To Music' studio
Brooklyn.
