Jazz drummer and band leader Pat Williams, from Houston, TX, was born to jazz trumpeter
Pat Williams Sr, and jazz and R&B vocalist Rita Benson. He formed The Pat Williams
Group in 2013.
"Inclusive, Vol. 1" appears to be his debut EP (released 22 Oct 2021) and
I can only find one other single released by him in 2018. Of the six
tracks, all are instrumentals which feature guest musicians except for the last track "Any Day" which features the vocals of Ashley Jayy, a trained gospel
singer from Portland, OR, who caught the attention of Prince.
It's a bit strange as it fades out around 4:10 and then comes back in
after about five seconds. So I don't know whether it's deliberate or just
a bad sound file uploaded to Spotify?
