This is a JAM! As dance records go, this is probably nearly as good as it gets, which I would describe as funky soulful house. The bassline reminds me a little of People's Choice "Do It Anyway You Wanna".
"Footsteps" was set loose last Friday (3 Sep 2021) and comes with four mixes, original, North West Street Vocal Remix, radio edit and instrumental. I think the beefed up North Street Vocal Remix by Ashley Beedle, Darren Morris & Jo Wallace (the bods behind Ramrock) is the one to have.
The vocals come from Scots Joseph Malik (who has featured here several times recently) and Beldina Odenyo who is a female singer/guitarist/poet of Kenyan/Scottish heritage.
I suspect that Digital Liquid is just a made up studio name for this track as there is nothing else recorded by them as far as I can find.
