AIA is 21 year old Ariel Imani Adams (so I 'presume' it's pronounced as
initials A-I-A?) who is a classically trained singer from Richmond, VA.
but after three years decided to study jazz at Howard University.
She released her debut single "Void" in 2018 and "Intravenous" is her first EP, released last week (6 Aug 2021) which is all new
material which she wrote herself with co-operation from others on the two
tracks that feature guests.
Her facebook states that the EP "talks about the artist's struggles with depression, suicidal thoughts,
and just personal issues in general. Join AIA on a journey of self love
as we watch her go from self-hatred, pity, and loathing in the first
half of the EP to a confident, independent woman by the last couple of
tracks. Intravenous is a story of growth and self acceptance, and AIA
hopes that her listeners will be able to relate to her experience and
maybe learn a lesson or two as well".
