I think you could pigeon-hole this as 'left-field'! A bit of an
unorthodox voice, similar to Duffy, which may not be surprising as she is
also from North Wales.
I was fully expecting a rap interjection when I saw that it features a name like Shuko, but thankfully no rap! It turns out that Shuko is a German based beatmaker, producer, songwriter.
She's an emerging artist who has already supported Paul Weller and Paloma
Faith. She states her influences include Northern Soul, the jazz/blues of
Billie Holiday and Lauryn Hill. She released an eight track EP "Take A
Seat" in March this year. Her debut solo release was in March 2019 with a
six track, self-titled EP.
