A track I heard last night by JKABEL, thought to be unreleased, tuned me into his music and led me on a search for more information.
The track in question is "Look To The Hills". I went digging around and discovered that the track was on an album
"The Gospel According To J.KABEL" which doesn't appear to be commercially
available, as it's not on the usual DSP's but it is posted on his YT channel
and is available for FREE download from his website. According to the
website it was 'released' on 12 May 2021, which he describes as a
compilation of original gospel songs written and arranged by JKABEL. The
song was also released as an instrumental by Elior & Ian Ewing called "Stars" on 3 May 2021. Elior is aka Aylior, a Dutch
producer and Ian Ewing is a producer from Milwaukee. Aylior produced some of
the tracks on the album.
Another of the tracks on the album "Seek You Face" has just been
released as his new single on 2 Jul 2021, which is available on
DSPs.
Don't be deterred if you're not 'into' gospel as his music
is very soulful and contemporary. He has released three albums to
date "Highway Music" Mar 2020, "Insanity" Jan 2021 and "The Gospel According To J.KABEL" May 2021 and a new one is coming out on 24 Jul
2021 titled "Collective Thoughts".
His full name is Jarod K. Holloway from Florida. He
studied theatre arts and became an actor and appeared in several stage
productions. In the noughties he toured with Angie Stone, Dave Hollister,
Christopher Williams, Vanessa Williams and Latoya London, amongst others.
When the tours ended in 2008 he started writing his own music which resulted
in his first single release in 2014 with "Do What You Wanna Do".
