A stunning deep soul ballad written in 1984 by Doc Shaw which I
posted on 24 May, which and was originally released in 2011 on Doc Shaw's "My Life" album.
It has been re-recorded by Doc
Shaw and features his sons Lester L-2 Shaw & Retsel Shaw and was re-released 28 May 2021 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Tulsa Race Riots, but the video for it has just premiered today, so any excuse to once again highlight this superb piece of soul music..
"The Sun Will Rise Again" is song of homage to the victims and survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre which took place 23 May - 1 Jun 1921.
