Bridge City Revival is a collective of musicians from Portland, OR, put
together by jazz trumpeter Farnell Newton to record retro (revival) soul tunes. Three of the tracks from the album "Introducing Bridge City Revival" have been pre-released as singles and I featured one of them by Arietta Ward
"Lucky Me" in June and mentioned that the album was forthcoming. It was released
yesterday (23 Jul 2021).
The album features various guest vocalists including Ural Thomas, Ronnie Wright, Redray Frazier, Arietta Ward, LaRhonda Steele, Vursatyl and Saeeda Wright. They are not shown on the Spotify playlist, so click on album cover image for the full tracklisting.
The standout tracks, for me, are "Take Me Away" featuring LaRhonda Steele and "Good Love" featuring Ronnie Wright and "Lucky Me" featuring Arietta Ward.
