This was an early Blackpool Mecca spin. I can't find any info about Donna Colman.  This appears to be her only release (unless of course this is an alias? .. If anyone can provide any further info it would be greatly appreciated).

Both sides written by David Wilkerson who is probably best known for writing 'Every Beat Of My Heart'  for The Du-Ettes in 1964 on Mar-V-Lus.

Only 4 releases listed for the Avin label. Going by the other artists Roy Hytower and Andre Williams (both Chicago musicians) I would guess that it's a Chicago label although nothing on the label to give it away except Celtex Music which was registered on BMI to William Lasley Sr. 44 West Briar Place, Chicago.

I am assuming that this is Bill Lasley who also operated Expo, Celtex and O-Pex labels which ran between 1968-69. Avin's released are dated 1965/66 so this was an earlier label. Apparently Bill Lasley was also a Chicago radio DJ.

Avin
101 Roy Hytower - Since I Been Away / I Want Some More
102 Donna Coleman - You're Love's Too Strong / If You Want Me
103 Andre Williams - Rib Tips Pt.1 / Rib Tips Pt. 2
104 does this exist?

A few note on the Expo releases:

Roy Hytower Love That Girl Of Mine Northern R&B dancer

Bobby Kool A side is typical mid 60s dance craze tune flipped with a hammond instrumental tune.

Bobby Jones released around 12 45s an a number of small labels, 4 of these on Expo but he did have one release on Vee-Jay in 1965.  You're A Devil was also recorded by Pauline shivers on O-Pex. Talkin' Bout The Jones's is a great Northern track that's been in demand in recent years (.

Pauline & Bobby is Pauline Shivers an Bobby Jones - A side is deep soul ballad and flip is 60s funky dancer.

Billy Kent released a 45 as Billy Kent & The Andantes in 1960 on MAH's - a doo wop
ballad and a rocking R&B number in the Jackie Wilson vein.

The Deacons was on Shama label which was nationally distributed by Expo

O-Pex
