William Staggers [2023] - I Just Want You To Know [Verdie Music]

We first encountered William Staggers with his excellent single "Glad To Find Love" in Jan '21. He's released a host of singles since then but the only one we've posted is "Who Knows" in Aug '21 as many were rather bluesy. He's back with a new single "I Just Want You To Know" on 2 Oct.

Staggers, from Little Rock, AK, began playing piano aged 5 and in high school learned to play the saxophone. During his long career a few of the 'names' he's performed with include Al Green, Isaac Hayes, Rick James, Ali-Ollie Woodson and Albert King.

William Staggers [2021] - Who Knows [Verdie Music]

This is another that managed to pass me by when released on 30 Jun 2021. William Staggers released  "Glad To Find Love" at the end of Jan 2021 which got a lot of attention. He followed that up with "Trippin'" in Feb and "Who Knows" in Jun. He has actually superseded it with a release on 9 Jul, but it's a dated bluesy number called "Forget About Angie" nothing like his previous few releases.

A week or so ago I posted William Staggers 'Glad To Find Love' (which was released on 16 Jan 2021) with a link to Amazon to listen to a sample only as it wasn't then, and still isn't, available on YouTube.

I personally think it's one of the better new releases around for real 'soulies',  so persevered to try and find a full version which I have now managed to find on Spotify.
