Tank & The Bangas [2022] - Red Balloon [Verve] (Full Album)

Having already released four singles from it ("No ID" (Jan), "Stolen Fruit" (Feb), "Why Try" (Mar) and "Oak Tree" (Apr), the new album by Tank & The Bangas,  "Red Balloon", is out today.

With fifteen tracks on the album means that eleven are fresh, but unfortunately from these only a few appealed on first listen: "Cafe Du Monde", "Jellyfish" and "Where Do We All Go" featuring Lalah Hathaway. A glaring omission from the album is "Black Folk", a single they released with Alex Isley and Maesgo in  Feb this year.

I think a couple of the singles, "Stolen Fruit" followed by "Why Try", are the standouts and based on these I was hoping for a stronger set from a soul perspective, but I'm sure the R&B/Hip-hop lovers will be satisfied with it. I think we have to accept that soul music, as we'd like it, is a dying genre and have to take what we can get and five tracks from fifteen isn't bad!

The third single pre-released from the forthcoming album "Red Balloon" (due 13 May 2022) by Tank & The Bangas is "Why Try" which follows "Stolen Fruit" (24 Feb) and "No ID" (28 Jan).

After the release of "Black Folk" only last week featuring Alex Isley, Tank & The Bangas have released the second single "Stolen Fruit" from their forthcoming third album "Red Balloon" due 13 May 2022. "No ID" is the other track available from 28 Jan 

Tank & The Bangas are a group from New Orleans led by Tarriona "Tank" Ball. who, to be perfectly honest, I haven't paid a lot of attention to, but on the basis of their last couple of releases I'll be looking forward to their full album.

Tank & The Bangas are a group from New Orleans led by Tarriona "Tank" Ball. They are due to release their third album "Red Balloon" on 13 May 2022 and have released a new single today (18 Feb 2022)  "Black Folk" featuring Alex Isley and Masego.

Tarriona featured on the new remix of Jade Novah's "I Just Wanna Know" released last week (11 Feb 2022)  and Alex Isley released a single "Love Again" with Jack Dine only on Monday (14 Feb 2022)
