Avery*Sunshine [2024] - My Way [BigShine Recordings]

We picked up on the new Avery*Sunshine single "My Way" when released on Friday but it didn't really register on first listen, however, we've persevered and perhaps, like us, you may need a few listens to fully appreciate.

The song is co-written with Dana "BigDane" Johnson, Jamison Ross, DrewTheRew (her daughter), Cory Irvin Sr. and John Michael Rouchell and produced by Jamison Ross with four of the writers performing, Cory Irvin (keys), Jamison Ross (drums), Dana "BigDane" Johnson (guitar) and Brian Cockerham (bass). 

It's now the fourth single this year from her forthcoming album, "So Glad To Know". The others were "Fire" (29 Mar),  "I Wonder" (12 Feb) and the funky "Lifted Up" (1 Jan).

Avery*Sunshine [2024] - Fire [BigShine Recordings]

The latest offering from Avery*Sunshine from her forthcoming album, "So Glad To Know", is "Fire".

It's now her third single of the year following "I Wonder" (12 Feb) and the funky "Lifted Up" (1 Jan) all different in style.

 

The song was co-written with her daughter, Drew 'TheRew' Menifee along with Dana Johnson, Jamison Ross, Cory Irvin Sr. and John Michael Rouchell. It delves into the trials of sustaining a relationship without reciprocation, self-neglect in the pursuit of pleasing others. The title 'Fire' referring to one refusing to 'set themselves on fire just to keep someone else warm'.

The visual is set to premiere at 16:00 GMT (29 Mar '24).
