What appears to be a debut solo single, "Stay In Love" from Marcus Scott (or at least the only one available on DSPs) but with a bit of digging he released an album "Back 2 Da Soul" in 2019 and has performed with Tower Of Power on "Step Up" (2020) and their 50th anniversary live album "50 Years Of Funk & Soul: Live At The Fox Theater-Oakland Ca-June 2018" (2018).
He hails from Memphis and got his break in 2005 singing in talent shows which led to work in and around Memphis and he sang on The Bar-Kays "House Party" album in 2007. He's a go-to session musician in Memphis.
The new single was recorded at the legendary Royal Studios the home of Hi Records back in the day under the guidance of Willie Mitchell.
