We believe that "Planet Grouve" is a debut album from Underdoggz who are twin brothers
from Berlin. We say 'believe' as we suspect that their music is merged
with another group of the same name from The Netherlands but are unable to find much
information about them.
One track in particular, "Do You Mind", is doing the rounds but we also like "Don't You Know", "In My Room" and "I Keep Dreaming" which has a retro 60s/70s vibe.
The whole album has a throwback feel from 60s-90sh New Jack Swing
and even 80s feel (i.e. the title track). We've just tagged it as retro
soul.
Some have speculated that it is a 90s recording but that is unlikely given that they have a number of recent music videos on their YouTube channel including one for "Do You Mind" below.
