It's been a while since we've had contemporary new music from Leela James. She released an EDM/Soulful House single "Reach For It" in Nov '22 (followed by a APJ Club Mix of it in Feb '23) and before
that was a remix of "Complicated" with Anthony Hamilton in Oct '21 which followed her album "See Me" in Jul '21. So it's been a full two years really.
Her new single "Right Back In It" is out today and is one that crosses all boundaries that will appeal to both neo and traditional soul lovers. We don't quite understand why there should be such a divide in any case as good soul music is just that and defies boundaries.
The music video has been out less than half a day and has already received almost 3.5k views. Her top 10 tracks on Spotify alone have received around 90m streams.
