JocQ is 30 yr old Jocquinn Williams born in Birmingham, AL now living
around Houston, TX. He has been singing all his life releasing his
first single "Get Back to Love" in Feb '22 with a video for it coming later in Oct '22. His only
other release prior to his debut album landing on 14 Jul was a
single "9-5" in Apr '23 followed by a music video for it in May.
His debut album "Inamorato Book I" includes both singles. It's a nice album, contemporary, yet
traditional in places. He has his own style and we can't think of
anyone to compare him with which is a good thing. It's 21st
century soul without falling into the trap of trying to be like anyone
else.
We would highlight his debut single "Get Back to Love", "Dont Mean to Beg" (sic) and "Regrets" as three of the best examples.
Just in case you were wondering, the meaning of 'inamorto' is a
person's male lover as in Casanova, Romeo etc.. Yes we had to look it
up too!
