A change of style for Chicago house diva Carla Prather for
her latest single "Back In The Day" as her releases for the last few years, at least, have all been soulful
house tracks.
Produced by Steve Maskall (aka Steve 'Miggedy' Maestro / Mortimer Snerd III).
The song is a tribute to, and refers to, many of the legends of soul music. I'm afraid to say the the sentiment is probably echoed by many real soul lovers i.e. 'Back in the day, music is just not the same anymore' with so much computerised garbage being churned out (a particularly poor bunch this week) that takes about five minutes produce and even less time to forget. All we can say is that it's good job that plastic isn't wasted on vinyl and CDs manufacturing them ... just imagine the plastic pollution problem!
