The oddly named "Running Loving Something" are Brighton-based duo Benjamin Gordon and Murray Stockdale. They are
both from hip-hop and electronic backgrounds and are signed to Brighton
label Tru Thoughts where they have released a debut double single today (2
May '23) ("I Love The Feeling" / "Come So Far") which experiments with different sounds and grooves from a variety of
their own music sources.
The project takes inspiration from artists like
The Avalanches (who broke through way back in 2000 with "Since I Left You") but rather than sampling from dusty vinyl, they used sounds with
instruments and hooks that they wrote and recorded.
The vocalist on the tracks is another local singer Ellie Ford.
