Neo soul singer Nao Yoshioka from Osaka,
Japan, debuted in 2012 with a single "Make The Change" which then featured on her debut album "The Light" released the following year. She has now released four albums to
date, plus a live album with Brian Owens.
Her latest single, "Stuck Wit U", is due out on Friday (12 May '23) in collaboration with
Blue Lab Beats. This collaboration has been quite a few years in the making as they
met back in 2017 when she was a guest for a Mamas Gun gig at London's
Jazz Cafe.
Blue Lab Beats released a remix of her song "Loyalty" in 2020 and in 2022, whilst on her European tour, they played a
session together at Blue Lab Beat's studio and she featured as a guest
on stage with them at their Blue Note Place performance in
Japan.
We are told that she has another single scheduled for next month ahead
of several gigs at the Java Jazz Festival in June, London's Jazz Cafe
and TivoliVredenburg, Den Haag, NL in July with another single scheduled
for September.
