Terri Walker (Chanelle Gstettenbauer) was born in
Wimbledon, London, but moved to Germany as a child returning to London
later . She started to study opera aged 15 and began singing
professionally at 18, initially singing with garage
artists.
She recorded her debut album "Untitled" for Def Soul (part of Def Jam) in 2003 and has since released a
further three albums, "L.O.V.E" (2005), "I Am" (2006) and "Entitled" (2015).
On Friday she released her first single of 2023, "Finally over you", which follows a broken beats track, "Sugarcane & Lime", last August which featured Melonyx as well as Zed Bias and Rampage
Sound. The song has a slow, false, start so don't be fooled as it
kicks on around the 47 second mark. I'm not quite sure how to categorise this one house/broken beat/dance?... so have just tagged it as new soul.
