A reissue of four mixes of Sunshine Anderson's "Heard It All Before". It consists of the album version, a radio edit and two remixes,
E-Smoove House Filter Mix and Ben Watt Lazy Dog Mix. All mixes were originally released in 2001 with the two remixes on a
12" titled "Heard It All Before (Dance Remixes)" and the other two
versions on the standard 12".
Sunshine Jocelyn Sian Anderson was born in Winston-Salem, NC in Oct 1974.
She was spotted humming in a queue at the university (from where she
obtained a degree in Criminal Justice) by a friend of Mike City (A&R and VP of Soulife).
After graduating she moved to Washington, D.C. but eventually relocated
to L.A. where she worked with City on her debut album and was managed by
Macy Gray. Her debut single, resulted in the release of her first album
"Your Woman" which rose to #2 on the R&B chart and sold over 800k copies
certifying it gold.
She released two further albums "Sunshine at Midnight" (2006) and "The Sun Shines Again" (2010) but not a great deal since, just a handful of singles that have
mainly been reissues/remixes of earlier songs.
Sunshine is still performing and in fact has a show tonight at House Of
Goats, Waterbury, CT.
