A week before it's release we posted the latest reissue from Athens
Of The North by Marion Javius with two mixes for "Waiting In The Wings" from Bandcamp. At the time no sound files were available so a YouTube clip of
the original version was posted pending release. It has now been
released with sound files available for both sides.
It comes with the original 1978 mix on Encore Records on the flip and
a new ECLA Mix which has been rebuilt from master tapes. The reason for the
remix has a humorous backstory which you can read on the
label's Bandcamp page, I won't steal the thunder.
It seems to be the only release for the Houston, TX, based label and
artist, under that name at least, but I wonder if it's the same singer
who recorded two singles on Roxbury in '73 and '75 as
Marion Jarvis?
