A little earlier than expected, the new Will Downing album
"Pieces" has landed today (10 Feb '23), we thought it was due on Valentines
Day.
Two songs have been pre-released as singles from the seven track set in
the shape of "Kinda Guy" (12 Nov '22) and only last week "Love On You", whether it's and EP or an album is up for debate.
The eagle eyed will also have noticed that he has a new single with
trumpeter, and former member of Impromp2, Johnny Britt "Butterflies" (posted from promo last week) which is also released today as a single
(i.e. not on the new album).
It's another solid set from 'The Prince of Sophisticated Soul', no fillers,
as often after lead singles are released they tend to be the best of the
bunch, but not in this case as all tracks stand on their own. It would be
churlish to pick a standout as they all have their merits and I'm sure we'll
all have our own favoured tracks.
The one 'most likely' to be the next single is a cover of Barry White's "Early Years" (from "The Man" 1978) but not written by White, it was penned by Ronald Coleman who has worked and written for artists such as Lamont Dozier, Leon Ware, Edwin Starr, The Originals Kellee Paterson, Nichelle Nichols and others.

How can I get this CD?
I don't think it was released on CD (not even on his website https://www.theprinceofsophisticatedsoul.com/pieces) .. only digital and it may only be mp3?
.. if possible download as wav or flac and burn to CDR if you want it on CD.
