The first of five vinyl releases from Daptone's Penrose imprint (which are either out now or forthcoming in the next few weeks) by Vicky Tafoya. The A side "The Moment" is a very bluesy number whilst the flip "Love Don't Treat You Fair" is more of a doo-wop style and both sound like they could be covers of two very early 60s song but both sides are original compositions by Vicky and Matt Beld.
The vinyl for this one was released last week (12 Jan) and is already sold out. I feel both are an acquired taste for lovers of very early 60s material.
