It's that time of the year to do a round up of the best tracks of the
year. Rather than bombard you with 100 tracks all in one chunk, they
have been split over each month highlighting the best dozen songs from each
month and two months will be posted each day over the next six days between Christmas and New Year.
They are also split between neo soul and more traditional
soul with this post representing the more traditional songs for Jan 2022.
Some tracks may strictly fall outside the month either side as the
criteria is when they were posted and featured in the Weekly Dirty
Dozen as essentially it's a summary of the best tracks from each
month's weekly Dirty Dozen selections.
Also when it comes to selecting the Top 100 there may be some not
featured in the monthly selections as some months were better than
others so something that just missed out one month may still be featured in the Top 100 for the year.
