DAVEON #1 is Daveon Overton from south side Chicago who moved to L.A. in the early 80s to
join Motown who were putting a group together but ended up becoming a
writer with Jobete Music. He released an album "It's So Good" on Empire in 1987 and was a member of Mind, Heart & Soul who released a self-titled album on Motown in 1995.
He has been very prolific since 2021 releasing over thirty singles and
three albums. The latest album, "I'M SO FORTUNATE", was released 13 Sep 2022. Since then he's released a further
four singles in the first week of Oct.
The best of the bunch I think is "TELL HER", a timeless, deepish, slow jam / soul ballad.
