If you like the 60s Hammond organ driven instrumentals a la Booker T. & The M.G.'s and their ilk then I think this new album from (Adam) Scone Cash Players "Brooklyn to Brooklin" will be right up your street.
They state that their mission is "to bring the purist, most soulful, dynamic and funky organ music to the people of the world. Think about the best breakbeats and the most screaming organ combined to make a truly unique sound that is the Scone Cash Players".
Organist Adam Scone has worked with many of Daptone's artists and has also backed up jazz and boogaloo legends Lou Donaldson, Melvin Sparks and Ben Dixon and says that he uses that background to produce most hard-driving soul psychedelia possible.
The band released their debut album "The Mind Blower" in 2009 and followed it with "Blast Furnace" in 2018 and "As The Screw Turns" in 2019 making "Brooklyn to Brooklin" their fourth full album, all available on vinyl.
Don't be misled by Brooklyn in the title as the band hails from Miami.

Very much in the spirit of instrumentals à la Booker T.
It reminds us of that great era.
