JELISA Jamy van Schijndel is a new singer/songwriter from Amsterdam
who debuted in Oct 2021 with "Leave Me Be" followed by "Sometimes" in Dec 2021 (videos for both below). Her third single "Perspective" was released on 3 Jun 2022.
Today she has released he debut six track EP "Season Of Vulnerability" which includes all three singles. It's a solid set with all songs
co-written with Jurgen Rein Gerlofs and all three new songs are credible
additions.
Based on the material released so far, since emerging only in Dec 2021,
I think JELISA is certainly a new artist to watch! A perfect example of
contemporary new / neo soul music as it should be, no gimmicks, well
written songs, well sung and produced. No need for rap, voiceboxes, lo-fi, samples and all that stuff, just good, original contemporary music!
