Whilst I was researching something else I came across this great album only track "Jealous" by Edwin Starr co-written with Motown legend Lamont
Dozier. I don't recall hearing it before so thought it was worthwhile
posting.
It's from his 1978 album "Clean" just as he was moving towards disco material with
"Contact" which is on the album, and "H.A.P.P.Y. Radio" and such
like.
The album is very cheap and easy to pick up but this is about the only track that stands the test of time with several disco tracks. "I'm So Into You" is ok but a bit pedestrian.
A quick scan through the credits on the album and arrangers included H. B. Barnum, David Blumberg, Lamont Dozier and Paul Riser and musicians included David T. Walker (guitar), Paulinho Da Costa (percussion) and James Gadson (drums) so some heavyweights involved in the album's production.
