Devin Morrison is an Orlando, FL, native now living in L.A.
He debuted with an album "Bussin'" in 2019. Last July he featured on Sidibe's "Ready Enough" and has featured a couple of other times on the blog, on a single with
Masego, "Yamz", in Nov 2021 and a solo single "Nu Beginning" in Jun 2021.
His latest single is "It Never Rains (In SoCal)" released yesterday which sounds underproduced and distorted to me
ears, perhaps it's intentional to give it a lo-fi feel? It sounds like, it
if were on vinyl, that there is fluff on the stylus.
The song was co-written by Raphael Saadiq with Timothy Riley who of
course were members of Tony! Toni! Toné! who had a #1 R&B chart hit
with it in 1990 which I'd overlooked until pointed out by Franklin
Sinclair.
