I think the clue is in the title "Darryl Payne Rare Grooves The Vaults, Vol. 1" suggesting that this is material that has been in the can for some
time.
Darryl Payne is the brains behind Streamworld Entertainment
and has been in the music business since 1976 and was behind many 80s hits
for the likes of Sharon Redd, Carol Douglas, France Joli, Richard Jon
Smith, Sinnamon and others.
It's difficult to pinpoint exactly when these songs were recorded but
they sound 90s/00s to me(?) but it is a good album.
