A forthcoming limited (500) vinyl release on Detroit's Funk Night label is
the sixth release by Gillespie & Co (formally The Aries Vibration/La
Glosta Nostra).
Both sides, "What You Gonna Do" / "Hit The Dance Floor", were written by Gloucester (UK) based producer Andrew Gillespie
who also plays flute/percussion on the tracks which feature the vocals
of Coko Buttafli from Pontiac, IL. It's a retro sister funk tune.
Funk Night is a label born out of one of Detroit City's longest
running DJ nights and is run by Detroit heavyweight funkster
DJ/promoter/producer Frank Raines.
No details available as yet how or when to order but presumably will be available via the vinyl retailers.
