Asia Mone't Phillips (previously Beasley) is a singer/songwriter
from Sacramento, CA, who released a new single "Fairytale" today (22 May 2022)) which is a track from her
forthcoming EP "The Narcissist Tapes" (a great title for which I think there could be a long queue lol!). Bizarrely there is another singer called Mone't who also released a song titled "Fairytale" in 2018.
It probably doesn't stand a hope in Hell of getting in any of the charts, as soulful
ballads never seem to do well here, but that's not the be all and end all.
It's a good song well sung, that many of us who don't follow fads and just
appreciate good soul music will enjoy.
I've also included her last two singles "New Numbers" from June last year and "Slipped Away" from Feb 2020, just to show
that her latest single isn't a flash in the pan. "New Numbers" features Darian TFO and uses a recurring sample
with a kid saying 'grooves on the track' that has cropped up on several recent
recordings.
