From 2011 to 2013 Shan Ako (Shanice Akosua Smith) from
Croydon, South London, toured with "Magic of Motown" and then
returned to her studies, gaining a degree in Music Business after which
she starred in lead role in Whitney – Queen of the Night. In 2018 she was
mentored by Simon Cowell in The X Factor series 15 finishing in 7th
place.
She was chosen to play the role of Eponine in the All Star Staged Concert
of Les Miserables in 2019 and won Best Performer in a Musical at The Stage
Debut Awards for her role in the new production at the Sondheim Theatre in
London’s West End in 2020.
To date, since debuting in 2019, she's released four singles and to
launch her debut EP "God's Best" the title track was released as a single lasts Friday (25 Mar 2002) a
week before the five track EP release today (1 Apr 2022).
The standout track is "The Wait".
