London group Mamas Gun drop their fifth album "Cure The Jones" today (1 Apr 2022). It is their first since "Golden Gun" (2018) and is available in digital, CD and vinyl formats. The album was recorded direct to tape in three days during the
pandemic.
Two tracks from the album "Party For One" / "Looking For Moses" were released as a double single on 14 Jan and another track from
the album "Good Love" was released on 18 Mar.
Mamas Gun were formed in 2009 and the current five-piece line-up is
Andy Platts (vocals), Terry Lewis (guitar), Dave Oliver (keys), Chris
Boot (drums) and Cameron Dawson (bass). Their debut album "Routes To Riches" was released the same year.
Platts has previously worked with Rod Temperton, Brian Jackson and
John Oates (of Hall & Oates) whilst Lewis has collaborated with
Leon Ware, Lewis Taylor and The Impressions.
They start a European tour on 11 Mar with additional US and Asian dates
to be announced.
