Only last week a track featuring Frank McComb was posted on
the debut album "Who Am I" from Lina Nikol, however the track in question, "All I Need", has
already been released as a single in 2018.
A new single "I Gotta Pinch Myself (I Must Be Dreaming)" duetting this time with Kathy Kosins and features Najee on sax is due for release 14 Oct 2021.
Kathy Kosins is a jazz singer from Detroit who started her
career as a backing vocalist performing with artists such as Was (Not
Was), Michael Henderson. Sweet Pea Atkinson, Millie Scott and David
Peaston amongst others in the 80s.
Frank McComb was signed with Motown early in his career and
recorded two unreleased albums. Some tracks found their way into the
public domain via bootlegged CDs titled "The Motown Sessions". It was eventually released legitimately as "The Truth Vol. 2" in 2006.
His first official release was "Love Stories" in 2000 from which "(They're Gonna Be) Looking At You" got plenty of rotation on UK modern soul dance floors as did several
tracks from "The Motown Sessions' including his rendition of Steve
Wonder's "Golden Lady", "Love Is On Its Way" and "Somebody Like You" which still sounds great after years of not listening to it!
