The latest release on Alex Subina's Soul 4 Real label contains two sides from
Bettye Swann originally recorded in 1975 but lay in the can for almost 40
years until released on CD "The Complete Atlantic Recordings" in 2014. They appear on vinyl for the first time.
The top side is a slowed down, ballad version of The Isley Brothers, Holland, Dozier, Holland and Sylvia Moy penned, Motown classic
"This Old Heart Of Mine" and the flip is a deep soul cut "Either You Love Me
Or Leave Me" written by Homer Banks and Carl Hampton. and released by
Jeanette 'Baby' Washington in 1976 on
Sixth Avenue which failed to chart even on US R&B. You can listen to her
