Wafia (Al-Rikabi) is a truly international neo soul artist as she is a
Dutch born, Iraqi/Syrian, now living in Brisbane. She appears to have
debuted in 2012 with a self-released, self-titled five track EP.
Having released a few dozen singles and around five EPs/LPs she was
signed to Atlantic in 2020.
Her latest single, "Wide Open", released 25 Jun 2021, features Australian
hip-hop producer
Ta-ku
(aka Regan Matthews from Perth) and
Masego
(aka Micah Davis) who seems to be popping up all over the place at the
moment.
