The long-awaited new album from the 'Queen of Indie Soul' Conya Doss was
released today (13 Jun 2021). It's her ninth studio album and first since "Clear" in 2018.
As a bonus I found an interview she held with her indie soul brother Eric
Roberson from Jan 2020. Eric features on one of the tracks on the album ("It Ain't Easy") which I posted a
couple of days ago and also has a great new single out "Lessons". An interesting statement she made in the interview was that she was at school with Frank McComb.
The track that seems to be getting most airplay is "Come Get This
Love" but there is not a bad track on the album which I'm sure will be a candidate, by
the end of the year, for album of the year.
